Cafe Hindenburg in Speyer

Great cafe with a wide variety of cakes and pies. There is also a good ice cream menu. The coffee was very good and the cake was a large piece that tasted great. Service very friendly and it was served quickly. Great all round, we'd love to come back on our next visit to Speyer.

0 respect for customers here! Their advertised timings are different to their actual operational hours! Instance 1: reach the restaurant at 8pm to be told that they close at 8pm. Google says 9pm, their website says 930pm! Customers walk away Instance 2: reserve a table and go at 645pm, only to be told that the oven has been turned off, and there is no more food. How i wish google provided an option to give 0 stars~!

Very nice, newly renovated cafe, but the style has stayed the same, my 90-year-old aunt was here as a guest as a young girl. The service is very friendly and delicious ice cream and cakes.

As far as everything is okay, large selection of cakes that we unfortunately could not test (time pressure). We sat outside with a blanket on, it was very stormy, so just a coffee.

Heavenly!!! The perfect cappuccino with freshly baked Belgian waffles. The portions are huge. Actually we wanted to treat ourselves to a small dessert ..... You can share a plate with two or maybe even three. We ordered a serving of waffles with powdered sugar and a serving of ice cream and Nutella. They were thick waffles, slightly caramelized and crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. I'm not a huge fan of waffles, but this house has the right recipe. A good address for connoisseurs.

Because you are always served in a friendly manner and, even if it takes longer, the waitress often asks whether everything is okay. It's very cozy. LG

We ordered a cake for a 1st birthday. The day was supposed to be perfect, the cake wasn't. Hardly any resemblance to the original, improperly processed and criticism was not addressed.

I can only join the customer who wrote a month ago that if there was only a moderate visit, the guest would be successfully ignored. We were noticed by an employee and told us that someone was about to come. Unfortunately, nothing happened. We then got up and left after guests who came after us were served immediately.

Waited 1 hour for a bad (from tetra pak) sju du orange, standard bake-off bread, a glass of champagne without bubbles. Only the cappuchine was good.

Enjoyed a very extensive and worthwhile gourmet breakfast there. Highly Recommended.

We had the gourmet breakfast for 2 people. There are 2 hot drinks of your choice, 2 orange juices, rolls, croissants, eggs, muesli, yoghurt with fruit, sweetness and hearty variations for the rolls. Special requests are dealt with without any problems. We like to have breakfast there every now and then. Of course, other breakfast options are also possible. In this café, the staff is very friendly and the boss is absolutely super and friendly. Our favorite café in Speyer😊😊

We were here today. The service staff was very friendly and attentive. The selection and quality of the cakes and pies are top. Great view of the cathedral. Pleasant atmosphere.

Sitting for 10 minutes and being ignored by the waitresses, despite moderate activity. At least one would expect to get a signal that one has seen the new guest and is about to take the order. Nothing here. Then left after 15 minutes although we were clearly sitting and the waitress walked past us several times

Terrible! We waited more that 15 minutes until the waitress (after looking at us several times) decided to came to us to clean our table at take the order.

Very large selection of very delicious ice creams. The warmer the weather, the bigger the balls seem to be, which is why it's definitely a recommendation. The star deduction only because unfortunately the prices are slowly increasing here too :(

Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The waiters were very friendly. What I found very good was that we were offered a bag for the remaining breakfast rolls. Small drawback: there were four of us at the table. 1x ice cream and 1x cake were ordered and 2x breakfast. The ice cream and cake came earlier than breakfast, so some were almost ready to eat before the others could even start. -No debit card payment possible-

You sit very well in the sun and of course it was still empty. Ice cream sundaes were big and delicious.

Tasty coffee, cakes, ice cream and waffles. The menu also offers breakfast and lunch-snacks. Reasonable prices considering the location in a historic building in the city centre. Friendly staff. Cosy atmosphere.

Friendly service, nice view and public wifi. They also provide blanket for outdoor seating. Cant ask for more

The first impression is usually the right one. The cafe just so behind the Christmas market stalls and enter. Laid-back, informal atmosphere and the service very nice. The cake looked delicious, but we did not try it because we just had a bratwurst from the Christmas market. If we lived in Speyer, we would be with you more often.

We went for breakfast and liked the quality of food. Portions were on the smaller side, reflecting the reasonable prices. Service was a bit gruff but hey that's Germany for you. They've got ice cream too. Is you want to go for breakfast after 10 am on the weekend you'd better make a reservation.
